The following practical example shows how the Informa-Consumer-Score can be used: If, for example, a mail-order dealer does not know the payment behaviour of someone placing an order (which is the case with new customers) then, generally speaking, the dealer will offer a low-risk method of payment (e.g. surname, payment in advance) in order to prevent a default in payment.
